Isaac Bushue

Isaac is from Mahomet, Illinois. If you don’t know where that’s at, you’re in good company, because neither does anyone else. As part of the team, he was responsible for the PCB board design, budgeting and ordering parts, and the connections between the systems. This often including crimping, then re-crimping...over and over and over again. Post-graduation, Isaac will hit the market as a blue chip free agent, albeit one with sore forearms.

Grant Barthelmes

Grant is from Millstone Twp, New Jersey or Joizeyy as he will say when he reminds you for the 10th time that he is basically from the Jersey shore. On the team, Grant focused on programming the respeaker to calculate the Direction of Arrival of a signal, monitor the volume, and also designed the 3D printed models for the headset and backpack. After graduation, he will be working for the Surgical Robotics division of Medtronic in New Haven, CT.

Chloe Crusan

Chloe's main responsibility was understanding the Respeaker board. Her main focus was on software and beamforming. Additionally, she worked on interfacing between the Respeaker and the control board with the I2C data transfer protocol and PWM generation , as well as live volume monitoring and the creation of this website! Following graduation Chloe will move to Maryland to work in the Cybersecurity group at the John's Hopkins Applied Physics Lab.

Robbie Schaefer

Robbie worked on the noise cancellation subsystem before switching over to working primarily with the software. He espcially worked with the I2C interface and volume monitoring. He is quite interested in neuroscience, medicine, and machine learning. Post-graduation, Robbie will be working in a Neuroscience reserach lab at Washington University in Saint Louis, investigating how deep brain stimulation can be used to treat opiod addictions linked to chronic pain. After that, he hopes to be off to medical school.
