Race results:

On race day, our mouse placed 5th out of 12 teams, and 5th out of 5 mice that reached the center of the maze!

During our allotted ten-minute run, our mouse solved the maze twice during its two floodfill exploration runs, but accidentally got too close to a wall and snagged on the way to the origin, which caused it to get lost before reaching the speedrun phase of the race.

Outside of our allotted race time, we ran an unofficial trial to see how fast our speedrun would be on the given maze design. The mouse was able to complete both floodfill runs and the speedrun with no snags, finishing the speedrun with a time of 2:09 and a celebration 360 spin!

Despite not placing with the faster times at the top of the leaderboard (close to one minute), we were satisfied to finish the maze in a time we could be proud with.
